 When Davina Robinson describes herself as "The Rock n' Roll Soul Chick," the rockin’ Philly-bred, Osaka, Japan-based singer/songwriter isn’t talking prissy "chick rock," nor is she alluding to watered-down rock guitars weaving through R&B-pop tunes. To her, it’s a cool, edgy, eclectic take on rock, at times an homage to an era that embraced and merged funk, blues and rock, reflecting Robinson's biracial and bicultural roots.
