Guitarist Masaaki Watanuki and I dressed in red for the Valentine's Day show at Hard Rock Cafe Osaka. We did a lot of covers and most of them were a first for both of us. I picked some difficult songs to do, it was a challenge, but a very fun challenge. I'm grateful to everyone who braved the cold and came out to see us! And thanks for the lovely Valentine's Day presents!

ハードロックカフェのバレンタインライブのため、私とギターの綿貫正顕は、赤い服を着てました。ライブの曲は、カバーが多く、やった事ない曲も多い。私が選んだ曲の中、難しい曲も多い。チャレンジ！大変でしたが楽しい大変さですね。新しい曲をやるのは、とても面白かったです。寒さの中、見に来ていただいた方に感謝してます！それに、バレンタインプレゼントもいただきました！ありがとうございました！

Coming up is my first acoustic gig at Hard Rock Cafe Osaka (Honmachi). Valentine's Day! Rock & Romance! Love Rocks! (or love stinks, depending on who you ask). 
Love has no genre, so we'll be playing a collection of love-positive :) covers, spanning a variety of genres, all in our acoustic bluesy-rockin way. A very rare show. As you know, my URL is davinarobinson.com. I have another URL, davina.jp, which I originally had as my Japanese language site, but now I have it directing to this .com site. I sometimes use it on flyers because it's short.  But even with the short davina.jp URL, my name is a little hard for Japanese to remember/spell/pronounce. So I've come up with an easy-to-remember URL to access my site: naniwarock.com. "Naniwa" is a flower, and the former name of the city of Osaka (waaaaayyyyy back in the day). There is still a district named Naniwa, and there's a street in Osaka called Naniwa Boulevard (I live on it!). Cars registered within Osaka city have "Naniwa" license plates (those in the prefecture suburbs have "Osaka" plates). When Japanese hear the word "Naniwa", they know it's Osaka. So it's easy to remember and spell and pronounce. The naniwarock.com URL directs to this .com site. It's probably easier to remember for English native speakers as well. :)

I recently put up a page for Japanese fans called "Song Translations". It's a sub-page of the MUSIC page. Several Japanese fans have asked me to post translations of my songs, so I've begun the process, one song at a time. I translate them myself and have a native Japanese check my translation. So it can be a long process, depending on the song. "When Is My Birthday" and "Osaka Boys" were rather easier than others to translate. "Behind Closed Doors" is going to be difficult. So from time to time, I'll let you know which songs I've posted, so keep checking this blog. 

最近、サイトの新しいページを足しました。ページ名は「Song Translations」で、「MUSIC」のサブページです。「日本語訳がほしい」という声がでましたので、通訳プローセスを始めました。１曲ずつですね。自分で通訳して、日本人にチェックしてもらうので、曲によって、かかる時間がちがいます。たとえば、「When Is My Birthday」と「Osaka Boys」は、どっちかというと、簡単な方でした。「Behind Closed Doors」は、まだやってないのですが、難しそうですね。時々、どんな曲をアップしたのか、ブログでお知らせしますので、確認してくださいね。

Thanks to everyone who came to my "Cosplay Christmas" show at Jungle! It was difficult keeping a straight face singing tunes like "Monster" in my Mrs. Claus outfit, but I managed to keep it together. :) The costumes were hot, it was freezing outside, bassist Shinji had injured his back and could hardly stand, but we had a great time! I especially enjoyed doing the hard rock/heavy metal version of "All I Want For Christmas"!!! Thanks again.

「コスプレクリスマス」を見に来ていただいて、ありがとうございました！ミセスサンタのコスチュームを着て、「Monster」みたいなまじめな曲を、笑わず歌うのが、むずかしかったけど、なんとかなりました。（＾０＾）v。コスチュームは熱くて、外は寒くて、ベーシストの井手さんは、腰をつって、痛みの中がんばって弾いてた。けど、４人とも、すごく楽しかったです。HR／HM版の「恋人のクリスマス」をやるのが、特別に楽しかったのです！ありがとう！
